It's wild and wonderful... and much more impressive than the postcards, with magnificent scenery, heritage and
history, culture and cuisine and accents so chunky you could carve them.
In some ways Scotland is a weird wee place. You could be in a bustling, vibrant city or a fantastic arts
festival while, a mere caber's toss away (okay, 20 minutes then!), someone could be strolling the shores
of a loch, reeling in a trout, whacking a little white ball around one of the world's best golf courses
or simply standing alone on a craggy hillside with heather tilting at his kilt.
Scotland isn't just an extension of England - in fact, suggesting that to a local would be highly offensive. The country has its own currency, parliament, accent and attitude. For 700 years the Scots have fought successfully not to be part of England. They are fiercely proud of their history and heritage and they welcome you to share it.
You may have seen how stunning Scotland is in the movies but believe me, the additional two dimensions make it make it somewhere very special indeed. - Enjoy!
