UK - Britain & Ireland Travel Insurance
If you are visiting the UK and you are NOT from a recognised country that has reciprocal health arrangements with the UK you MUST take out comprehensive Medical Insurance prior to departure from the country you live in, as it is very difficult, if not impossible to take this out once you are in the UK.The UK has reciprocal health care agreements with all Member States of the European Union. 'Reciprocal Health Agreements' usually provide for any hospital treatment you may require during your stay in the UK and NOT for visits to a doctor unless you use a hospital A& E (Accident and Emergency) department. Unless it is an emergency you may not be entitled to the treatment of an existing medical condition.
